Takii introduced the world's first F1 Hybrid Broccoli, "Late Corona". Takii introduced F1 Hybrid Squash "Delica", which became the most popular Squash in Japan. New headquarter's buildings were completed. "Coral Cross", the first F1 Hybrid Carrot in Japan was introduced. F1 Hybrid Broccoli "Green Comet" was awarded an A.A.S. Gold Medal. Plant Breeding and Experiment Station with 70 hectares was established in Kohsei, Shiga.   Takii introduced "Relish Cross", a disease resistant F1 Hybrid Daikon (Japanese Radish). It won overwhelming support from farmers and consumers, leading to the popularity of the green-necked radish varieties. Takii introduced the world's first F1 Hybrid Kohlrabi, "Grand Duke". (A.A.S. medal in 1979.) New building of the Tokyo Sales Office was completed. F1 Hybrid Zinnia "Gold Sun" won an A.A.S. Bronze Medal. Takii introduced the world's first F1 Hybrid Celery "Top Seller". The capital was increased to 200 million yen.
